    Lord Seaan O'Hagan

  • Activities: Brewing, Archery, Heavy List, and Carpentry among many others.
  • Persona:
    Irish Mercenary-1040s,Ireland-Seaan is the son of an Irish warrior serving Sigtryggr Silkiskegg, king of Norse Dublin. Seaan attempted to make his way as a merchant plying the trade routes between Dublin and the British Isles. Undone by bad luck and a poor head for figures Seaan settled in the city of Jorvik (York) among a small gorup of other Irish immigrants eaking out a living through various jobs. Out of a desire for wealth and property Seaan eventually joins a local warband, fighting in many conflicts throughout the Isles.

    Irish Crusading Brother 1180s, Saxony- Seaan is the son of a minor noble dislodged by the Norman invasion of Leinster under Strongbow (Richard FitzGilbert de Clare). Deciding that the loss of the family's land was god's punnishment for the misdeeds his forefathers(particularly an ex-trader who gained the family fortune and by serving and then betraying Sigtryggr Silkiskegg the last Norse King of Dublin) , he decided to take the cross and crusade against the heathens to make atonement. After arriving in Saxony he used his share of his family's remaining money to join a monastic order as a brother at arms.

  • Persona: Late 6th Century Pict/Scot living in Northern Pictland near Nessy's Loch in the Pretanic Highlands. My mom is a Pict and my dad is a Scot from Dalriada. The Northumbrians have set up camps everywhere. A new faith coupled with raiders, wild boars and wolves, two crumbling walls to the south left from a dead Roman dream, tribal coflict and the Dalraidan overloards fighting for control of Pictland made my homeland everchanging and dangerous to live in.

  • Persona: Steingrim was the son of a Jarl and an irish woman his father took as his wife while vikings spent thier first over-winter at Dubhlinn (Dublin) in 842. Steingrim was born in 848 the same year the battle of Skyrne took place. At the battle 700 or more vikings were killed by Maelseachlann I army while Steingrims father barely escaped with his life. Being a busy trading post for goods Steingrims father took what wealth he had and became a successful trader of fur and pelt's. After growing up and taking up arms himself, Steingrim travelled in search of his own fortune.

  • Era: 16th century Russia, the court of Ivan the Terrible
  • Joined SCA: 2002
  • Activities: Fencing, Research and construction of period clothing, Embroidery, Illimination
  • Persona: Tat'ianna is a Lady born of a minor Boyer of the Muscovite court. During her childhood, Tsar Ivan came to power as a young man himself. As her father watched the young Monarch grow into a powerful but twisted man, he worried for his young daughter. Seeking to secure the safety of his only daughter, he sent her to foster with a noble friend in Spain. Tat'ianna's new residence traveld a great deal with the spanish Lord, eventually settling in Italy with the Lord's marriage to a wonderous Italian Lady. Tat'ianna visits her family in Moscow twice a year and secretly enjoys bringing the exotic fashions and shocking stories of Ivan's court back. Tat'ianna worries for the safety of her father; for the Tsar's madness seems to only get worse every year.

  • Region: Stonemarche, Cheshire County
  • Era: 14th century Germany, and on occasion 5th century Britain.
  • Joined SCA: Barony of Calafia Kingdom of Caid 1989
  • Activities: Armour Junkie, Heavy Combat, Costuming, Archery, making a big mess out of order.
  • Persona: Thaddeus has on occasion declared himself to be a Viking, a 14th century man-at-arms, a Highlander, a Hoplite, an Elizabethan gentleman of fortune and a Norman. His friends have always been kind enough to agree with him and wait patiently until he returns to his senses. When necessary they have applied judicious amounts of rattan, to help him through the rough spots.

    Lady Temair of Stonemarche

  • Era: 9th Century Scot living in Nosgorov
  • Joined SCA: 1999 (unofficially)
  • Activities: Sewing, Knitting, Heavy List, Children's Activities, Singing, Dabbling.
  • Persona: Temair was kidnapped during a Viking raid on her village and taken back to Sweden. There she met and fell in love with a local young warrior named Bjorn. After a family dispute, they fled Sweden and found themselves in Nosgorov, where they reside to this day with their three young daughters.

  • Era: A 16th Century Japanese
  • Joined SCA: September 1982
  • Activities: Washing dishes
  • Persona: Of the family Toriijima, meaning island of gates, with the
    given name Tohaku, but called Tsuru (Crane) by his friends, Toriijima
    was born in 1464, but managed to live long enough to get to 1503. What
    the future brings is still unknown. He travels the land washing dishes
    in exchange for food and good company.

  • Activities: Archery, Garb Making, Dancing, Brewing, and Equestrian when I can
  • Persona: Tyrvi was born in approximately 842 CE and after spending a
    great deal of time as a navigator, and eventually settled in Iceland.
