Lady Aislinn (of House Silverwood and of Clann O'Choda)

Joined SCA: Early 1994
Activities: Making garb, brewing, making cordials, helping in Event kitchens, some cooking (including light research into period versus non-period foods), and generally assisting my Clann at Events, especially Pennsic. Also beadwork and jewelry making.
Persona: Aislinn was orphaned quite young, and through the machinations of an unscrupulous relative, wound up in an early Convent. As she is not a Christian, she was extremely unhappy, yet none of the travelers who stayed overnight were allowed to purchase her freedom. Finally a rich Welsh Lady, Alexandra of Silverwood, came to stay with her slave and her manservant. Somehow Aislinn found herself free of the convent and Lady Alexandra declared her to be the Lady's Ward.
Since then, Aislinn has also been adopted into Clann O'Choda. She is being courted, with Lady Alexandra's blessing, by the Clann Bard. The Banns have not yet been read, however. (Fionnbhar patiently sweats on....)

Persona: Alheydis is the daughter of German merchants who settled in Riga after its
inclusion in the Hanseatic League. Not one to be content with the life of a merchant, Alheydis took up the cross
to campaign against the pagans and Rus of Novgorod. Having fallen in with a crusading order she quickly became
their most zealous convert, earning the nickname 'the Evangelist' for her tireless efforts to convert those not
familiar with the 'Ways of the Dude'.

Persona: Argus was born Argyrus Ericcson in the church of the Hagia Sophia in
Constantinople on Sept 10th, 1030. His parents, a Norse Varangian guardsman and his lady a loyal citizen
of the city taught him about both their cultures and let him choose his own destiny. Eventually Argus
embraced the best of both and left Constantinople as a young adult as part of Harold Harrada's forces that
would eventually make Harrada King.

Persona: Artorius is a British soldier circa 502 in service to a great King. He is descended from a line of landowning soldiers tracing back to imperial Rome. His grandfather served with the last Roman legions to occupy Britain. His father and mother were born on British soil, but his father was reared in the ways of Roman warfare, and thus passed this knowledge on to Artorius. He was formerly Squired to Duke Lucan von Drackenklaue.
